Stevie Nicks couldn’t help but gush about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s red-hot romance, sharing her thoughts on what lies ahead for the power couple.
The legendary singer-songwriter opened up about the lovebirds in an interview with Rolling Stone on Thursday.
Nicks, 76, praised Taylor, 34, for her resilience, saying, ‘She’s really smart, but she’s also been through a lot. She’s in a great place right now, and I think she’s found a good man.’
The Edge of Seventeen hitmaker went on to express her hopes for the pair’s future, saying, ‘I hope they fall deeper and deeper in love and ride off into the sunset.’
She added, ‘He does his thing, she does hers, and then they come back together and get married and have babies—if that’s what she wants. I just want all of that for her.’
Stevie also couldn’t help but talk about a special piece of jewelry Taylor gave her.
‘Do you see my little bracelet?’ she said, pointing to the engraved ‘TTPD,’ which stands for The Tortured Poets Department, a poem Nicks wrote for Swift’s latest album.
Nicks added, ‘I haven’t taken it off for almost a year.’
The star has made the TTPD bracelet a staple in her performance attire. It was first spotted last May during her set at the BottleRock Napa Valley festival, and she was seen wearing it again during her Saturday Night Live appearance earlier this month.
Gift-giving seems to be a common theme in Nicks’ relationship with the celebrity couple. She revealed that she once gave Travis a special present.
‘I like to design blankets. Cashmere blankets are my favorite thing. That is what I buy for my friends if there’s a special occasion. I bought Travis Kelce a blanket.’
Swift and Nicks have a long-standing friendship that dates back to 2010, when they first teamed up for a performance at the Grammys.
Nicks told TODAY.com last fall that she feels her honesty in her artistry has rubbed off on Swift.
‘I never don’t tell the truth,’ Nicks said. ‘And I think that’s something that if Taylor Swift, who is my friend, if Taylor got anything from me, that’s what she got.’
‘I don’t ever lie in my songs – and if you broke up with me, I don’t put I broke up with you. I tell the truth, always.’
She also admitted that she does see her resemblance to the young singer saying it is like seeing a younger version of herself.
‘It’s like seeing my younger self. She brings back memories that I had forgotten. When I look at her I think of stuff that has gone out of my mind,’ she said.
