More than ten years before the disgraced rapper was arrested for 𝓈ℯ𝓍 trafficking, Taylor Swift declared that Sean “Diddy” Combs would be one of her ideal prom dates.
A 2011 video that has since surfaced shows the singer of “Lover” playing a celebrity quiz game while making an appearance on the “Rachael Ray” show at the age of 21.

The pop star held up pictures of other music icons, such as Combs, Jennifer Lopez, and Katy Perry, while she responded to a series of quick-fire questions.
The “Lover” songstress included the now-disgraced rapper in her answer while playing a celebrity quiz game.
When asked who she would have taken to prom, Swift, now 34, responded, “It would be a group, and it would be a really fun group.”
“Boy, you’re going on a freaky prom date,” Ray, now 56, quipped as the singer made her choices.
Seconds later, Swift held up pictures of Combs, Perry, Lopez, Justin Timberlake and Sheryl Crow.

“Why that spectacular array of people?” the talk show host asked.
“Because … all these different reasons,” the “Fearless” hitmaker explained. “Well, Katy would just be so much fun. She’s just, like, crazy fun, like spontaneous.”
“Diddy’s really always been very nice to me,” Swift continued, adding, “He would be fun to be in the prom group.”
“He’s a gentleman, isn’t he? He’s a lovely gentleman,” Ray chimed in.
“Diddy’s really always been very nice to me,” the Grammy winner, seen here with Combs in 2009, explained at the time.
“He would be fun to be in the prom group,” Swift added.
Swift’s remarks made headlines after the moment was shared in a since-deleted TikTok video and several fans claimed the clip “didn’t age well.”
“As a millennial, we looked up to these people. we didn’t know what was really going on. this is like fearless/speak now taylor. she like 19-21 here,” one person commented, per the Daily Mail.
“Back when we were so naive,” a second added, while a third wrote, “This aged like milk.”
Combs, 54, was arrested on Sept. 16 and charged with 𝓈ℯ𝓍 trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Last month, Combs was arrested for 𝓈ℯ𝓍 trafficking.
He is currently behind bars in Brooklyn.
The founder of Bad Boy Records is charged with organizing “freak-offs,” where women were reportedly forced to engage in hours-long 𝓈ℯ𝓍 activities under duress. Combs is presently awaiting trial at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center after entering a not guilty plea to the accusations against him. He has insisted on his innocence and refuted every accusation of misconduct.
