Chappell Roan and Vice President Kamala Harris will come face-to-face as they both are slated appear on the November 2 episode of Saturday Night Live.
The pop star, 26, and politician, 60, will risk an awkward run-in after Roan refused to endorse Harris back in September.
With just days before the November 5, 2024 presidential election, the former California senator is trying her best to sway undecided voters.
John Mulaney will host the new episode of the comedy series, with Chappell performing as the musical guest.
A source told New York Post that Kamala will make her cameo during the show’s cold open, adding, ‘It’s all been hush-hush.’

In late September, Chappell doubled down on her prior comments about the election after facing backlash for not officially endorsing a candidate.
The singer took to TikTok to clarify her stance, reiterating that while she plans to vote for Kamala Harris, she isn’t making a formal endorsement.
She began the snippet by stating: ‘If you don’t understand what I’m saying, it’s a lost cause.’
The Missouri-bred star added: ‘Endorsing and voting are completely different and I don’t agree with a lot of what is going on with policies, like obviously f*** the policies on the right… but also f*** some of the policies on the left.’
Roan explained, ‘That’s why I can’t endorse; I can’t put my entire name or my entire project behind one [candidate], because there is no way I can stand behind some of the left’s completely transphobic and completely genocidal views. There are huge problems on both sides.’
There was no shortage of fans using pop culture references to predict how a potential Roan-Harris run-in will play out
There was also a social media user who used an outtake of Kamala to demonstrate her ‘rolling into SNL’s studio 8H to take Chappell Roan’s questions on policy’
‘So no, I’m not gonna settle for what the options are in front of me. So yeah, I’m voting for f****** Kamala, but I’m not settling for what has been offered ’cause that’s questionable,’ she emphasized.
The Hot To Go hitmaker continued: ‘I’m critiquing both sides ’cause they’re both so f***** up.’
She captioned the clip, ‘And I’m not forcing you to agree with me. This is my statement. Have a good day.’
Harrison Ford, Chloe Grace Moretz, and Jennifer Lopez are some of the latest celebrities to throw their support behind Harris.
