Angel Reese teases WNBA competitors after the announcement of the new Chicago Sky head coach, igniting social media back-and-forth

On Saturday, the Sky reportedly hired Tyler Marsh, an assistant with the Las Vegas Aces, as their next head coach. The news became official on Sunday, but Reese didn’t waste time sharing her thoughts on the then-reported hire, writing on X, “W.”

That caused Aces star Sydney Colson to reply to the post, “Excuse me?! We’re grieving, have some respect!”

Then, Reese said to her, “Sorry but your time is UP. It’s our turn! I’ll send you some tissue tho sister girl unless you want to come join this side too.” Lolson wasn’t the only Aces player to reply to Reese. “Like give us a day. Dang,” small forward Alysha Clark said to Reese.

Reese replied, “snatchiessssss.. sorry not sorry sis.” The LSU product Reese’s social media back-and-forth comes after she shared her disgust that the Sky fired Teresa Weatherspoon as head coach in September.

When the Sky announced the firing of Weatherspon, Reese wrote on X, “I’m heartbroken. I’m literally lost for words knowing what this woman meant to me at such a pivotal point in my life.” “She was the only person that believed in me.

The one that trust me…. You were such an unsung hero in my life.

The Sky finished with a league-worst 13-27 record.

Reese suffered a season-ending wrist injury and guard Chennedy Carter missed numerous games due to injury and illness.

Marsh will be arriving from Sin City, where he has been on the Aces coaching staff since Becky Hammon’s arrival in 2022. n his first two seasons, he helped the Aces win back-to-back titles. Before his WNBA role, Marsh worked with the NBA’s Indiana Pacers as an assistant coach.
