Popular power couple and New York residents Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are the latest celebrities to be completely enthralled with pop superstar Taylor Swift.
In an Instagram post, Reynolds revealed that he and Lively, who married in 2012 and live in the Northern Westchester town of Pound Ridge, attended an Eras Tour concert in New Orleans in October, an experience he said was “one of the best things I’ve seen/heard/felt.”
“The main reason I’ll never forget this show is because it brings people together in so many ways,” Reynolds, age 48, wrote in the post’s caption, also adding, “And in 2024, (where that feeling is scarce as hell) it’s a special and incredibly rare thing.”
Reynolds also shared a photo of him and Lively, age 37, posing in front of a mirror, both evidently smiling at the thought of the show.
In his caption, Reynolds continued raving about the performance:
“When I’m 95 yrs old and my wife and kids wheel me outside and into the sun so I can drink a sandwich, I’ll still be talking about seeing this show in New Orleans,” the famed actor wrote, also noting the “staggering a positive economic impact” the tour has on small businesses in the city.
“I’ve shot movies in New Orleans most of my career. It’s a special place on a normal day — but this weekend, felt like Super Bowl or Mardi Gras had a 𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢 with music,” Reynolds said.

According to People, the New Orleans concert is not the first that the power couple have attended — they have gone to several more of the Eras Tour shows and are even close friends with Swift.
Swift herself posted about the New Orleans show on her Instagram page, writing, “The city really welcomed us with open arms (with friendship bracelets on those metaphorical arms) and celebrated the tour with such flare.”
She also thanked fellow pop superstar Sabrina Carpenter for making an Eras Tour appearance during her only night off from her own massive tour.

Swift has been touring the Eras Tour since March 2023 and plans to continue until December, when it will end with a show in Vancouver on Sunday, Dec. 8.
Reynolds noted his only gripe with the tour in his post, writing:
“The only bummer is she can’t be in the audience to experience what everyone else sees and feels. To watch herself up there is something I wish she could know…I don’t understand the unimaginable work, care, talent and discipline @taylorswift generates to create an experience like this because I’m not a scientist.”
