Find you a girl who will post unflattering photos of herself blowing her nose to celebrate your birthday, which is what Blake Lively did for her friend Samantha Stone.

To her Instagram Stories on November 24, Lively uploaded a throwback photo of Stone and herself on New Year’s Eve, in which Stone is smiling and raising her arm, and Lively has a tissue to her face mid-achoo. “Find you a girl who spends New Years with you while you’re snotty and have a cold but she won’t let you miss the fun so she brings it to you,” Lively wrote over the pic. “Always. Because that’s who she is. Fun. Kindness. Goodness.”

Lively added, below the photo, “@samanthastone I’m glad you were born. Some amount of years ago today. Happy happy birthday,” along with an Elmo emoji.

Stone is the chief membership officer at Soho House and, like Lively, has been known for her maternity style. In a 2012 Refinery 29 interview, Stone said of her pregnancy looks, “Many of the tops I’ve been wearing lately are still pre-pregnancy pieces that are just more snug now. If anything, I stay away from anything that is short. I have found that wearing things that are longer makes your torso look longer.” And Blake Lively has her own way of repurposing pre-maternity pieces to accommodate a 𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢 bump. “When the back of your skirt won’t zip and the front of your dress won’t button, wear both,” she wrote on Instagram in 2023.

No wonder these two are best pals.
