“She almost dropped a pancake”, Serena Williams threw up on the Seine alongside Rafael Nadal

The Olympic torch relay by Serena Williams could have ended badly because of the choppy Seine. The tennis player does not seem to have her sea legs.

Paris and its iconic locations, the amphitheater of the Olympic Games opening ceremony, were considered a major event by many foreign media. However, even if the latter event went off without major problems, one scene could have turned into a disaster… Serena Williams actually showed some signs of weakness while crossing the Seine!

While the party was in full swing, spectators watched the Olympic torch relay between Zinedine Zidane and Rafael Nadal at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. The tennis player then boarded a boat carrying athletes who made history at the Olympic Games, including Carl Lewis, Nadia Comaneci and Serena Williams. Their mission that evening: to carry the flame to the Louvre Museum.

These big names in sports may be formidable in their own right, but it’s a different story when they’re on the water. 1.5 billion viewers were able to see Serena Williams, wearing a red Dolce & Gabbana dress and equipped with a life jacket, more comfortable on the tennis court than on the deck.

In the pouring rain and pushed by the fierce waves of the Seine, the 42-year-old woman got seasick and started dancing dangerously, which was caught by Nadia Comaneci in the extreme situation. The image of Serena Williams vomiting on Rafael Nadal was thus narrowly avoided. In terms of shock, viewers were already fed up with the drag queen scene…

A few minutes after this incident, the film crew finally arrived at the destination. Amélie Mauresmo was the one who protected the torch to bring it to the Palais Royal. This unfortunate scene, which lasted a few seconds, was kept secret on social networks, unlike another scene that many viewers did not miss.

During Lady Gaga’s performance on the banks of the Seine, one of the dancers fell very badly while choreographing. While the star was performing Mon truc en plumes in a scene worthy of Crazy Horse, the pouring rain made the stage slippery, overshadowing the young man’s talent. However, more frightened than hurt, the young man immediately got up to continue the show. During the 3 hour and 30 minute performance, it would be surprising if there was not a single incident!
