Drake Trolls His Own Stake Ad – Genius Marketing or Just a Joke?

Drake joked that he posted a Stake ad so that he could be credited $2 million to gamble.

Drizzy posted a screenshot of the cryptocurrency betting platform’s logo along with a caption claiming that he wanted to get money back that he lost gambling.

“MEMBERS WE ARE DOWN BAD ON STAKE SO I AM POSTING THIS SOLELY FOR 2 MILLION DOLLARS CREDIT TO SPIN SLOTS…PLS KEEP SCROLLING” he wrote in the caption.

Drake announced his partnership in Stake in 2022 after making it clear before that he was a supporter of the platform. In his post, he called the collaboration “inevitable.”

In a statement obtained by SBC Americas, Stake’s co-founder Ed Craven expressed his excitement for the collab.

“Drake has been an active member of our global community for a few months now, so the next step and natural evolution in the relationship was for us to collaborate on a stream,” Craven said.

“We share the same love for crypto, gambling and community and are like-minded fans of the technology and culture at the forefront of this movement,” he added.

Earlier this month, footage of Drake seemingly being caught off guard by a drone made its way around online. While in Australia on his Anita Max Win Tour (that is now postponed), he was seemingly captured being startled by the drone as it flew up to his window.

Drake attempted to throw a sandal at the drone as it backed up to show what appeared to be a penthouse in Sydney, Australia.

Based on the opening shot of Drake’s laptop screen that the drone captured in its footage, people speculated that the entire video is a Stake ad.

A few days ago, Drake offered to cover the costs of a fan’s mother’s cancer treatment after seeing their handmade sign during a concert in Brisbane.

“Everybody’s been pointing at this man all night,” he said. “This right here—put the sign up please, this is important—this man here, he’s got everybody in the crowd pointing to him … Whatever you need for your mother’s cancer treatment, I’mma take care of everything for you, I promise. Love, love. Anything.”
