Rick Ross Fires Back at Freeway Ricky Ross as Feud Escalates!

Rick Ross has responded to a shot taken at him by the man from whom he took his rap name, mocking “Freeway” Rick Ross as a “gangsta informant” in a recent social media comment.

On Sunday (March 2), 2Cool2Blog shared video from the Gervonta Davis/Lamont Roach boxing match in Brooklyn the day before, taken from YouTuber Peaks100’s vlog of his experience.

The video showed Peaks100 meeting boxer Ra-leek Born, who subsequently introduces Peaks to his manager, “Freeway” Rick Ross.

“You the real Ricky Rozay?” the YouTuber asks Ross, referring to a nickname used by the rapping Rick Ross.

“Ross,” the original Ross replied. “Rozay sound gay.”

Rick Ross (the rapper) jumped into the post’s comments, writing: “The gangsta informant [laughing emoji] still lerks @freewayricky !! Go put on a suit peon.”

“Freeway” Rick Ross is a former drug lord who “presided over a huge drug empire in Los Angeles” and was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1996 for purchasing over 100 kilos of cocaine from an undercover officer. He was released from prison in 2009.

Rick Ross took his rap name from the former drug kingpin, and the two have had issues over the years, with the older Ross even suing the rapper (unsuccessfully) over the use of his name.

Ricky Rozay has, in addition to feuding with his naming inspiration, also been going back and forth with 50 Cent lately.

Last month, he resumed taking shots at 50 by announcing that he wants to make his own movie about the Black Mafia Family.

50 is currently an executive producer on the STARZ series BMF, but has recently fallen out with Black Mafia Family co-founder Big Meech, as well as his son and star of the show, Lil Meech — partly due to their association with Rozay.

In a video posted to his Instagram Story on February 6, the MMG mogul disparaged his nemesis’ “lackluster” TV show and revealed plans to upstage it with a “big-budget” production.

“I wanna do a BMF film because you’ve been entertained by a lackluster, small-budget series. Now it’s time to do a big-budget film,” he said.

Ross then pondered who he could tap to direct the potential film, floating a few names: “Shout out to my homie F. Gary Gray. Antoine Fuqua, what’s up? [Quentin] Tarantino… there’s a lot of legends. This is gonna be big, I can feel it.”
