Serena Williams has revealed that her 19-month-old daughter, Olympia, is already a bit of a wild child as she nears the terrible twos, but she doesn’t think it is a bad thing.
The 37-year-old tennis star opened up about her little girl during an appearance on the Third Hour of Today on Wednesday morning, explaining that the word ‘wild’ has a positive connotation for her.
‘I love that my child is wild,’ she said. ‘I love that, because for me it’s a different word — wild is great. Why is wild a bad thing? She is curious. She has fun. She is learning different things. So, for me, I love that she wants to explore and just kind of wants to be herself.’

Serena told Today show hosts Dylan Dreyer and Craig Melvin that once Olympia got moving, she couldn’t be stopped.
‘She kind of skipped crawling,’ she explained. ‘I mean, she crawled, but not long, maybe of couple days. Then I was at Wimbledon and then she went straight to walking, and I was so sad because I was like, “Oh, I missed her,’ she recalled, but fans told her not to sweat it.
