Kendrick Lamar is seemingly still finding time to keep himself in fighting shape, despite his recent whirlwind success.
In a clip that went viral on social media on Monday (March 10), the Compton native can be seen doing a calisthenics workout in a public park in his native California.
The video shows Kendrick performing several pull-ups — with his knees bent for added difficulty — while wearing a hoodie, despite the warm and sunny temperature.
While the outdoor gym was relatively busy, nobody around him seemed to be aware that they were in the presence of the rap superstar who recently performed in front of more than 133 million viewers at the Super Bowl.

Kendrick Lamar has committed himself to improving his fitness in recent years and recently spoke about his workout routine in a rare interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
“My early-morning practice is that I have to run. When I started running, that’s where I started to understand. There was this threshold of pain in the spirituality for me,” he said.
“I remember my shins was aching and I was like, I got one mile to go. Then I get whispers and downloads and start talking about shit that I want to know about. And next thing I’m three miles in, four miles in. I wake up and do that shit every day.”
The 37-year-old was previously seen doing pull-ups during a trip to New York City in 2022.
Accompanied by Harlem natives A$AP Ferg and Dapper Dan, as well as pgLang associates Dave Free and Teanna Leone, Kendrick could be seen getting into a pull-up contest with Ferg’s uncle T-Nyce using a piece of scaffold for a bar.
Even though T-Nyce was bigger in size, Lamar barely broke a sweat while performing the bodyweight exercise. He even threw in some hanging leg raises to further flex his strength.
The GNX MC also gave fans an insight into his workouts via his burner Instagram in 2023 by posting a video of himself getting a pump on in the park in his hometown of Los Angeles.
Rocking a black baseball cap and sweats, Kendrick sang along to Con Funk Shun’s “Straight From the Heart” as he performed pull-ups and push-ups.
Lamar also claimed on his Baby Keem collaboration “The Hillbillies” that he eats 150 grams of protein per day, which would be plenty for him to bulk up.
