NO SURRENDER! NewJeans ANNOUNCES APPEAL & REAFFIRMS ComplexCon Hong Kong WILL HAPPEN!!!

Court Rules in Favor of ADOR, Halting Members’ Independent Activities

Following the court’s decision to uphold ADOR’s injunction against the independent activities of NewJeans members—now promoting under the name NJZ—the members’ representatives have responded with a strong statement, signaling plans to challenge the ruling and reaffirming their commitment to fans.

On March 21, NewJeans (NJZ)’s legal guardians (the members’ parents) issued an official statement via SNS, saying, “We respect the court’s decision, but believe it fails to fully consider the complete breakdown of trust between the members and ADOR.”

They pointed out that due to the fast tracked nature of the injunction process, which concluded roughly two weeks after the March 7 hearing, the members were not given adequate time to fully present their case.

“ADOR and HYBE had full access to relevant documentation, while our side had to request information piece by piece from various third parties,” the statement said. “Due to fear of retaliation or legal entanglement, many contacts were also hesitant to cooperate.”

NewJeans (NJZ)’s team announced they will formally object to the injunction and pursue additional legal action to clarify and contest the unresolved issues.

They reiterated that “the members fulfilled their duties under the exclusive contract up until its termination and committed no wrongdoing,” while accusing ADOR and HYBE of “repeated unfair treatment and discriminatory practices that shattered trust.”

The core lawsuit over the validity of the exclusive contract is still ongoing, with the next trial scheduled for April 3. NewJeans (NJZ)’s representatives expressed confidence that the main trial will offer more flexibility to present key evidence and reinforce their claims.

“Though NJZ is going through a difficult time, the members are staying strong for their fans, Bunnies,” the statement continued. “They are committed to handling the remaining legal procedures with calm and resilience, and above all, keeping the promises made to fans.”

ComplexCon Hong Kong Performance Still On

Despite the legal restrictions, NewJeans (NJZ) has decided to move forward with their previously scheduled appearance at ComplexCon Hong Kong on March 23, citing their desire to avoid disappointing fans and staff who have worked hard to prepare the event.

“Our decision to attend was made after careful consideration,” the statement read. “We hope the fans continue to support and watch over us.”

On the same day, the Seoul Central District Court’s Civil Division 50 (Chief Judge Kim Sang-hoon) ruled in favor of ADOR, granting an injunction that bars the NewJeans (NJZ) members—Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein—from signing independent endorsement deals or conducting entertainment activities separate from the agency.

As the dispute escalates, both the legal and emotional stakes surrounding NewJeans (NJZ) and ADOR continue to rise, with fans watching closely as the battle for artistic independence unfolds.
