BIGBANG’s G-Dragon has once again grabbed headlines—this time not with music or fashion, but with a cryptic Instagram post on his private account, uploaded just as his variety show Good Day faces public backlash and a sudden broadcast delay.
On March 20, G-Dragon shared a screenshot from the classic MBC show Infinite Challenge. In the image, comedian Haha is shown with the caption:
“Wake up in this cold, heartless world.”
The photo was accompanied by a neutral face emoji adding to the mystery and sparking a flurry of fan speculation. Given the timing, many interpreted the message as a subtle response to the current controversy surrounding ‘Good Day’ castmate Kim Soo-hyun.
‘Good Day’ on Hiatus, Controversy Looms
The MBC variety show Good Day, in which G-Dragon serves as main music producer, announced it would not air its March 23 episode. The decision follows public outcry over Kim Soo-hyun’s alleged past relationship with the late actress Kim Sae-ron, including accusations from her family that their relationship began when she was underage.
In response, Kim Soo-hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, stated the two dated briefly between summer 2019 and fall 2020—when Kim Sae-ron was legally an adult. However, the controversy has continued to dominate online discourse.
Good Day’s production company TEO released an official statement on March 17, confirming that Kim Soo-hyun’s individual recordings from March 13 will not be aired. They also revealed that his appearances in episodes 6 and 7 will be edited out as much as possible.
G-Dragon: Staying Creative Amid the Chaos
While Good Day takes a temporary break, G-Dragon remains active with several ongoing projects:
