Netizens think it points to guilt.

On the March 21, 2025, actor Kim Soo Hyun’s legal representative released a statement claiming that although they are reviewing legal action, they have taken none yet so far with regards to the matter of defamation. A reporter from CBS questioned if Kim Soo Hyun’s camp would be taking action against allegations that he dated a minor.

Although they have filed a lawsuit against Kim Sae Ron‘s family as stated on March 20, they will “refrain from further legal actions” with additional lawsuits. They filed one against her family for the release of Kim Soo Hyun’s personal photos that have allegedly caused 𝓈ℯ𝓍ual humiliation.

His actions have now raised suspicions amongst the public. Kim Soo Hyun’s team is not filing suits against defamation, which seems to be the usual course of action for many celebrities in controversies. In particular, as Kim Soo Hyun was accused of pedophilia and dating a minor, the accusations are rather severe in terms of crime and social critique. Netizens believe that he is not filing a suit as per what appears to be an obvious route as the accusations may be true.
