This iconic show has left an indelible mark on the hearts of fans, weaving itself into the fabric of many childhoods. As we reflect on the nostalgia surrounding the series, let’s take a closer look at the cast members who brought the Robinson family and their adventures to life, and see where they are now in 2024.

Mark Goddard, who played Major Don West, was 29 when he took on his role. Tragically, he passed away on October 10, 2023, at the age of 87 due to pulmonary fibrosis, leaving a profound sense of loss among fans and former colleagues alike.

Bill Mumy, who endeared audiences as young Will Robinson, was only 11 years old during filming. Now at 70, he enjoys a rich life in San Gabriel, California, surrounded by family and friends, reminiscing about his time on the show while continuing to pursue his passions.

June Lockhart, who played the matriarch Maureen Robinson, was 40 in 1965. Now at the remarkable age of 99, she still finds joy in life, sharing special moments with her loved ones in New York City.

Angela Cartwright, known for her role as Penny Robinson, was 13 during the show’s initial airing. At 72, she remains active and vibrant, residing in Alran Chim Chest, England, where she continues to pursue her various interests.

Other cast members have also left us, including Sheila Allen, who played Aunt Gamma, and who passed away from pulmonary fibrosis in 2013. Meanwhile, De Hartford, who portrayed Verda, passed away in 2018 at the age of 90, while Fritz Feld, known as Mr. Zaius, succumbed to dementia in 1993, both marking significant losses for the “Lost in Space” family.

Tina Marcus, who played Athena, is currently enjoying her life at 87 years old in New York City, continuing to embrace her passions. Sadly, some cast members, like Albert Saly and Michael Rennie, left us too soon, their contributions to the series remembered fondly by fans.

Guy Williams, who played Dr. John Robinson, also left a gap in the hearts of fans when he passed away in 1989 at 65. His portrayal of a caring father and leader remains a cornerstone of the show’s enduring legacy.

As we look back on “Lost in Space,” we remember not just the adventures of the Robinson family but also the talented individuals who brought these characters to life.
