Director Hong Sang Soo (64) and actress Kim Min Hee (43), who previously caused a stir by publicly acknowledging their affair, have shocked the public once again. This time, they had a child together out of wedlock.

According to sources in the film industry on April 8, Kim Min Hee recently gave birth to a son and stayed at a postpartum care center located in Hanam, Gyeonggi Province. The child may be registered as Hong Sang Soo’s illegitimate son on his family registry, or Kim Min Hee may choose to register the child solely under her own family name.

Earlier in January, news broke that Kim Min Hee was pregnant with Hong Sang Soo’s child. In February, the couple was spotted together at Incheon International Airport, where Kim Min Hee was visibly in the late stages of pregnancy.
