G-Dragon hilariously struggled with technology as he was denied entry twice due to facial recognition issues.
On April 8, G-Dragon posted a video to his Instagram Story, capturing the moment he was trying to enter an unnamed location using facial recognition.
In the video, he can be seen standing in front of the machine, which initially recognized him as a person. However, once his lower body was also captured, the machine prompted, “Please look straight ahead.”
G-Dragon, adjusting his hair, responded, “Straight ahead…” but the screen soon displayed the message: “Recognition failed.”
Visibly surprised, G-Dragon exclaimed, “Huh? I didn’t even do anything!” The machine repeated, “Please look straight ahead.”
Trying again, G-Dragon said, “Straight ahead~” and looked directly at the camera. However, likely because he couldn’t keep his face and expressions still, the machine repeated the same prompt three more times and ultimately failed to recognize him.
After a brief silence, G-Dragon let out a short sigh, saying, “Ugh,” before finally bypassing the machine and entering.
Meanwhile, G-Dragon is set to begin his upcoming Asia tour starting May 10–11 in Tokyo, Japan, followed by stops in Bulacan, Philippines; Osaka, Japan; Macau, China; Taiwan; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Jakarta, Indonesia; and Hong Kong, covering 8 cities in 7 countries.
