Aaron Rodgers REVIEWED by Colin Cowherd for decision to leave Packers after nightmare first year with Jets’

Colin Cowherd has made a bold claim about Aaron Rodgers, saying the Jets quarterback’s football IQ ‘isn’t very high’ in a new segment.

Rodgers, 40, is no stranger to controversy as he’s proudly refused the COVID vaccine and previously misled the public regarding his status, saying he was ‘immunized’ before admitting he hadn’t received the shot.

Now, though, Cowherd has taken aim at Rodgers’ football acumen after a nightmare first season with the Jets, in which he tore his Achilles in Week 1.

‘He had a smart offensive coach. He had a very good offensive line, it was ranked third. He had a star running back, and they just drafted Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson – really, really talented young receivers,’ Cowherd said Thursday on ‘The Herd’ about Rodgers’ decision to leave the Packers.

‘And Aaron went, ‘Nah, I wanna go to a defensive coach [Robert Saleh] with a losing record, to the 31st ranked offensive line.’

And Colin Cowherd thinks the QB made the wrong call in leaving the Gren Bay Packers

‘Forget about his vaccine and political opinions, Aaron’s football IQ isn’t very high.’

The Jets slumped to a 7-10 record as Rodgers missed 16 games, while the offensive line that Cowherd criticized was a unit decimated by injuries as well. The Packers, meanwhile, are into the second round of the playoffs after beating the Cowboys last weekend.

In fairness to Rodgers, his No. 1 target Garrett Wilson is considered one of the best young receivers in the game, while Jets running back Breece Hall had an impressive year as well – especially given the circumstances.

Nonetheless, Cowherd evidently believes Rodgers made a mistake in seeking a trade away from Green Bay, citing a brutal AFC East division and a glut of talented quarterbacks throughout the conference.

‘When I look at Aaron Rodgers, was it delusion or just narcissism and hubris?,’ he said.

Rodgers was recently in the headlines for baselessly suggesting that Jimmy Kimmel would be named on the list of Jeffrey Epstein’s associates.

Speaking on the Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers initially started outlining a conspiracy theory about the colors of the NFL’s Super Bowl emblems and predicting the teams who will play the big game this season.

The panel was left baffled by his long-winded explanation, and co-host AJ Hawk interrupted to jokingly ask if it involved the Epstein list.

Kimmel was understandably incensed by the remarks and called Rodgers an “a**hole’

Rodgers seized on the opportunity to slam longtime nemesis Kimmel, saying: ‘There’s a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, who are hoping that list doesn’t come out.’

Kimmel responded angrily that night on X, saying: ‘Dear A***hole: for the record, I’ve not met, flown with, visited, or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any ‘list’ other than the clearly-phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can’t seem to distinguish from reality.’

‘Your reckless words put my family in danger. Keep it up and we will debate the facts further in court.’

Rodgers later walked back the comments, saying,  ‘I’m not stupid enough to accuse [Kimmel] of that with absolutely zero evidence, concrete evidence.

‘That’s ridiculous. I’m glad, and I think we can agree on something, is that 1, those crimes are heinous and 2, I’m glad you’re not on the list.’
