sbelief that Ryan Murphy hasn’t ‘fired’ him from his upcoming FX series, Grotesquerie.
The Kansas City Chiefs star has been keeping busy throughout the offseason, most recently starring in the Glee co-creator’s new horror show.
‘It’s been so much fun,’ Travis told his brother, Jason Kelce, on Wednesday’s episode of the New Heights podcast.
‘I feel like a jabroni, I feel like an amateur, but I haven’t gotten fired yet,’ he went on. ‘They haven’t told me to f**king kick rocks after the first week.’
The tight end said he didn’t want to ‘give away too much’ about the plot but described the series as ‘quite a mystery.’

The athlete will star alongside Niecy Nash-Betts in Ryan Murphy’s FX series, Grotesquerie
‘Everybody’s just been so helpful in making me feel comfortable and giving me the direction I need and the coaching I need to portray this part,’ he continued.
‘I’m just taking it scene-by-scene and making sure I remember my lines … I’m very amater at this.’
The three-time Super Bowl, who previously gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at his time on set with Niecy Nash-Betts, said he’s ‘blown away’ that Murphy gave him such a ‘big role.’
‘He seemed very confident that I’d be able to do this and he injected that [belief] in me the first conversation we had,’ the athlete explained
‘I’m just taking it scene-by-scene and making sure I remember my lines,’ Travis explained
The Super Bowl champ also said he’s ‘blown away’ that Murphy gave him such a ‘big role’
‘[Ryan Murphy] seemed very confident that I’d be able to do this,’ he said of the ‘Glee’ creator
‘I can’t thank him enough for this opportunity. I’m sure there’s actors out there that would die for an opportunity to work with Ryan, and I’m getting it in my first gig ever … hopefully I don’t f**k it up,’ he added, as his voice trailed off.
In a social media clip posted by Nash-Betts, Travis was seen hugging Murphy after shooting a scene.
‘You were wonderful,’ the American Horror Story creator said.
‘I’m just glad I didn’t hurt nobody,’ Kelce responded with a laugh.
The 34-year-old made his acting debut when he hosted Saturday Night Live in March 2023. He also starred in the reality dating series, Catching Kelce, in 2016.
