Girl power: On Wednesday the 50-year-old siren talked exclusively to DailyMail.com about her life behind that ‘promise’ as she admits it is the women in her family that give her ‘strength’ and make her want to ‘keep going’

Lopez said: ‘The strength I see in each and every one of them every day is what keeps me going.’

And when asked who inspires her, the pinup said without missing a beat, ‘My mother, sisters, and daughter.’

Lopez’s mother is 73-year-old Guadalupe, who raised the A-list star in the Bronx.

And her sisters are 48-year-old Lynda Lopez, who has worked as a journalist and radio personality but now is employed by Jennifer, and Leslie, who is a homemaker.

The singer’s daughter is Emme, aged 11. She also has son Max, a twin. And Lopez helps parent Alex’s daughters Ella and Natasha, whose mom is A-Rod’s ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis.

The My Love Don’t Cost A Thing crooner had a tough time in her 20s when starting out in Hollywood, so she turned to her mom and sisters.

‘I leaned on my family,’ said the siren, whose breakout role was Selena.

She also said her most important role is being a mother to her two kids.

‘My kids always come first. That might mean that I am on an airplane more than I otherwise would be, or flying through the night, but it’s so important to be there and watch them grow up,’ said the Maid In Manhattan star.

And she is fine with her daughter Emme turning into a singer. ‘I want her to know she is limitless. Performing a duet with her on tour this Summer was such a proud moment for me as a mother, and I know she can accomplish anything if there is a passion behind it.’

Girls rule: Jennifer also said that the people who inspire her most are in her family: ‘ My mother, sisters, and daughter. ‘The strength I see in each and every one of them every day is what keeps me going’

Thanks Warren! As far as her latest perfume, she was careful with choosing the name. ‘When we started to think of the concept for my next perfume I kept going back to the phrase “a brand is a promise” something that Warren Buffet told me at dinner a few years back’

The Amor Amor Amor singerwants her kids to know that doing a good job is a priority.

‘Hard work pays off. Find something you love doing and are passionate about, and don’t stop until you accomplish your goals. It is OK to make mistakes, but it’s how you come back from them and grow that makes it all worth it in the end,’ said the pinup who is currently shooting a movie with Owen Wilson called Marry Me.

The Boy Next Door actress also talked about turning 50.

‘It’s easy for people to get caught up in their age, but I looked at turning 50 as an opportunity,’ said the Dinero singer.

‘When we started to think of the concept for my next perfume I kept going back to the phrase “a brand is a promise” something that Warren Buffet told me at dinner a few years back. Everything I put out in the world needs to be a promise, and I thought it was the perfect time in my life to name a fragrance Promise.

A stretch: Jenny talked the bottle’s design. ‘The bottle is inspired by the many facets in a woman’s life. There are so many strong women that juggle being entrepreneurs, moms, wives, daughters, and so on, so we designed the bottle to reflect this’

And she added the scent – which has floral and woodsy notes – ‘makes you feel 𝓈ℯ𝓍y and beautiful.’

The star also said her backstage beauty essentials is ‘a good moisturizer.’

She added: ‘I travel so much that it is easy for my skin to get dry so we always make sure to have my go-to moisturizer on hand.’

The Independent Spirit nominee also touched on her film Hustlers.

‘Filming Hustlers was such an empowering experience. It was a new kind of role for me, having to come out practically naked in front of a room full of crew and extra and dance, but putting yourself out there physically, emotionally and psychologically was liberating.

Working with Constance Wu, Lili Reinhart and Cardi B ‘was such a different, powerful experience than any other movie I have worked on. There was so much diversity both in front of and behind the camera which set the stage for us to bring this incredible story to life.’
