Randall Emmett took aim at Jax Taylor on his new podcast on Tuesday.

Former Vanderpump Rules star Jax, 44, was criticized by 52-year-old Randall for “playing a victim” and “threatening” him after a film project “fell apart.” Randall also claimed that Jax had falsely accused him of owing him $75,000 on multiple occasions.

Lala Kent, 32, Randall’s former fiancée, clarified the situation on Scheana Shay’s podcast, Scheananigans, in February after she implied in a message on her Instagram Story that he owed Jax money.

She disclosed, “Randall has been giving Jax the runaround for a very long time and he owes him a lot of money.” “So, this is me telling you, Brother, that you need to give my friend the money by Monday. The timer is running out.

When Reality Hits With Jax and Brittany, an episode airing on May 2, revealed that Jax had lent Randall money months earlier, thinking it would be a wise investment for him and his family—that is, his wife, 34-year-old Brittany Cartwright, and their two-year-old son, Cruz.

“I’m not Sony. I’m not a studio. I’m not Paramount, where I have these huge budgets where I have insurance that covers things like this. I am Jax Taylor, a family man,” Jax stated. “You took money from a family man who… I need to support my family. I’ve gotta pay my mortgage. You took from me.”

He also criticized Randall for traveling to Miami amid the alleged debt, and of “having a new girlfriend, spending money, [and] buying new cars.”

“Where the f-ck is my money?” Jax asked.

Weeks later, on Heather McDonald‘s podcast, Jax said Randall owed him $75,000 from a bridge loan after he invested $100,000 in a film that was ultimately shut down amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I’m the only one that has stood by you through all this crap when Lala wasn’t gonna be my friend anymore, when nobody was gonna talk to me anymore because I was friends with you because I thought you were a nice guy,” Jax said on Juicy Scoop of what he told Randall, noting that he “trusted the wrong person.”

“Lala’s like, ‘You’re never gonna get your money back. That guy owes everybody and their brother right now,’” Jax shared. “I think he overspends and tries to live out of his means to look cool… It’s just really disturbing, especially since you have daughters. You have three daughters, and the internet is never gonna go away.”

But according to Randall, Jax’s account is nothing more than a “fairytale.” As he explained on his podcast, the Pump Rules alum actually invested $300,000 in one of his movies that “fell apart,” leaving Jax down $75,000.

“[He] started threatening me that if I didn’t pay him the balance back — me, personally, not the company that took the money for a project — that he was gonna out me publicly and this and that,” Randall said on the August 1 episode of It’s a Racquet, via Page Six.

Randall said that because Jax was “one of [his] best friends” at the time, he was completely caught off-guard by his aggressions.

“I was like, ‘Dude, we’re friends why are you threatening me? It’s disgusting.’ So then he’s acting like he doesn’t know what happened, he didn’t know what was going on,” he continued, noting that Jax “exaggerated” the truth and is “playing a victim.”

“I wanted him to be taken care of, and I wanted to get his balance of $75,000 back, but I don’t owe him that personally,” he said. “I’m doing that because I always considered him a friend.”

Recalling a past interaction, Randall said Jax “begged to invest” in his movies and made a “profit” of $100,000 and $200,000 from two other projects.

“At a time when Jax didn’t have a job, [he] came to me in a sincere way and just said, ‘Can I invest with you?’ And I said, ‘Yes, an investment is an investment, it’s not a loan to me personally, it’s an investment.’ So he said, ‘Can I invest in your films?’ And he knows as a grown man that an investment is a risk,” he said.

In closing, Randall said the “bottom line” is Jax is a “grown man” whose investment “didn’t work.”

“The part where Jax goes off and says I took and [tries] to keep bashing me in the press, like, you know that that’s not the story, and you know that that version is a fairytale, and that’s it,” he added.

Vanderpump Rules season 11 is currently in production and will premiere on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
