50 Cent’s ‘TikTok Star Murders’ Documentary Shares Official Trailer

The documentary explores the story of Ali Abulaban, who was convicted of murder.

Peacock has shared the trailer for the TikTok Star Murders documentary. Executive Produced by “50 Cent” and G-Unit Films & Television, Inc. in participation with Lusid Media, the project features never-before-aired footage, documenting a gruesome crime that caught nationwide attention due to the victim and perpetrator’s popularity on the social media app.

According to a press release, the nonfiction project explores how the seemingly picture-perfect relationship between TikTok personality Ali Abulaban and his romantic partner Ana turned deadly through cell phone footage and audio. TikTok Star Murders also features first-time interviews with close friends and family of the couple, commentary from reporter Kelsey Christensen, who interviewed Ali upon his arrest, and insight from a clinical/forensic psychologist.

The official synopsis reads as follows:

Under the surface is a relationship falling apart, full of domestic violence, and Ali is filming it — disturbing never-before-seen footage of private fights from his cell phone. Narcissism, addiction, and crippling jealousy all play a role in Ali’s desire for control and fame, while Ana seeks independence and a happy life for her and her daughter. The relationship disintegrates, and in October of 2021, the abuse takes a deadly turn that leaves two people dead, and another facing a lifetime behind bars.”

According to PEOPLE, Abulaban was found guilty of two counts of first-degree murder on May 29, 2024, for the 2021 murders of his estranged wife and Rayburn Barro, whom he suspected to be her lover.  Abulaban called his mother, Dalal Warra, after committing the violent crimes.

“I just recall saying you know ‘That’s not funny, that’s not funny Ali. Don’t say that, that’s not funny.’ And then I received a picture, I deleted it right away. I hung up the phone and I literally fell on the ground,” testified Warra per CBS8.

Abulaban is set to be sentenced on June 28 and could receive up to life in prison. Watch the trailer for TikTok Star Murders above.
