Earlier this week, the Hollywood actor and his mum made a surprise public appearance in the audience of The View.
“By the way, this is way less stressful than up there,” the Free Guy actor said, when asked why he was at the morning talk show. “My mum is here visiting her grandkids. And yesterday she said, ‘It’s my dream to go to The View.’ And I said, well, first off, I try to do what she says because you don’t know what she’s capable of. Unspeakable violence, my whole life,” he joked.

According to Ryan’s IMDB profile, his mother worked as a retail store saleswoman. She shares four sons, Patrick, Jeff, Terry and Ryan, with her late partner, James “Jim” Chester Reynolds, who passed away in 2015, per People.

While Ryan is known to have a great relationship with his mum, he has opened up about his ups and downs with his dad. “My dad was a tough guy,” he told Mr Porter in 2018. “He was good in many ways as well, but he was tough on us.”

In 2022, Ryan celebrated Mother’s Day by inviting his mum to join him an ad for his former company, Aviation Gin. In the ad, Tammy continually interjected with advice on the side as Ryan tries to make a cocktail called “Mother’s Ruin Punch”. “You gave us life. Thank you for that, Aviation Gin. Shoutout to the mums, too. Happy #MothersDay,” jokes the video’s description.
