Why does Firecracker despise Starlight so much in The Boys season 4?
According to a high school rumor, Starlight accused Firecreaker of sleeping with judges in order to advance to the singing competition finals.
In Episode 1 of The Boys Season 4, it is revealed that Firecracker is creating YouTube videos and spreading rumors about Starlight, nicknamed Annie. The reason for her rage against Annie is undisclosed until Episode 3. In this episode, Annie sneaks inside Vought’s chamber inside Firecracker’s room to confront her, desperate to learn more about her motivations.
During the confrontation, Firecracker (Valorie Curry) confesses that she knows Annie extremely well, which confuses her. Firecracker then reminds her of her high school nickname, Sparkler. They had both competed in a singing competition and advanced to the final. However, at the finals, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) employed a dirty tactic against her.
