The 2024 ESPY’s have been one of the program’s most highly anticipated years since its founding in 1993. With a plethora of WNBA talent represented at the ESPY’s, including star rookies Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese.
While Reese has been one of the most popular names in women’s basketball for a couple years now, she has increased her popularity even more in her rookie season. She has continued to make history seemingly every game, and she is making a strong case to be the WNBA’s Rookie of the Year.
Unfortunately, Reese was unable to attend the ESPY’s as she had a game scheduled for the same time against the New York Liberty. That said, former teammate Flau’jae Johnson made sure to shout her out prior to the event.
Along with Reese, she also shouted out former LSU stars Joe Burrow and Jayden Daniels to make sure LSU was well-represented. This was an awesome touch for Johnson to make prior to her performance at the ESPY’s.
