Meghan Markle is reportedly ‘scared’ about the day when their two children, Archie and Lilibet, start using social media. What is the reason behind that fear?

A candid Meghan Markle revealed to a New York audience that she’s “frightened” at the thought of Archie, 4, and Lilibet, 2, being old enough to start using social media.

While speaking on a panel as part of World Mental Health Day celebrations in Manhattan on Tuesday, both Markle, 42, and Prince Harry, 39, expressed their fears about being responsible for two young minds in today’s tech-driven world.

“As parents, though our kids are really young, they’re two and a half and four and a half… but social media is not going away,” Markle started.

“I think by design, there was an entry point that was supposed to be positive in creating community and something has devolved, and there’s no way to hear that and not try to help these families have their stories be heard.”

The “Suits” actress gushed over motherhood, calling it the “most important thing in her life outside of being a wife.”

“Being a mom is the most important thing in my entire life — outside, of course, being a wife to this one,” she said, motioning to Harry.

“But I will say, I feel fortunate that our children are at an age, again, quite young, so this isn’t in our immediate future, but I also feel frightened by how it’s continuing to change,” she added.

“And this will be in front of us. As they say, ‘Being a parent, the days are long but the years are short.’ So it worries me,” she admitted. “But I’m also given a lot of hope and a lot of energy by the progress we’ve made in the last year.”

Harry and Meghan once had 11 million Instagram followers before their joint account was abandoned back in 2020.

Their return to New York is the first since the couple’s so-called “near catastrophic car chase” in the Big Apple back in May.
