In May, Hailey Bieber astonished her followers by revealing that she was six months along with her husband Justin Bieber’s first child.

The 27-year-old founder of Rhode skincare is now discussing how she managed to keep it a secret for so long.

She said last week to W magazine that not having a pregnancy bump helped a lot.

Hailey Bieber surprised fans when she announced she was six months pregnant with her and her husband Justin Bieber’s first child in May.

‘I was able to keep it quiet because I stayed little for a long time,’ Hailey said.

‘I didn’t have a tummy until I was six months pregnant, and then I announced it. I was able to wear large coats and such.

Hailey stated, “I probably could have hidden it till the end. But I didn’t like the tension of being unable to enjoy my pregnancy overtly.

And now, the Rhode skincare pioneer, 27, is telling W magazine how she was able to keep it a secret for so long.

Before going public, Justin Bieber’s wife felt she was ‘hiding this massive secret, and it didn’t feel good’.

“I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life.”

Hailey announced her pregnancy on May 9, 2024, with an Instagram video of herself and Justin repeating their wedding vows in Hawaii, her bridal gown cradling her expanding tummy.

The pair, who will celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary in September, have yet to announce the gender of their unborn child.

Hailey has kept fans updated on her pregnancy by posting photographs of her 𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢 bulge on social media.

However, the brunette beauty opened up to W magazine about her cravings, morning sickness, and how she avoided seeking pregnancy advice on the internet.

Hailey’s pregnancy diet consists of high-protein foods such as eggs, poultry, and steak.

She also loves prepackaged foods from Los Angeles health food store Erewhon, which is popular among celebs, and the trendy beverage kombucha.

‘I didn’t have a tummy until I was six months pregnant, and then I announced it. I was able to wear huge coats and whatnot,” she stated; shown in March 2024.

Pizza is also on the menu.

‘I simply listen to what the 𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢 wants. ‘If the 𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢 wants pizza one day, we’ll have pizza,’ Hailey remarked.

The influencer has also given herself the ‘great luxury’ of employing a private chef in the evenings.

Stephen Baldwin’s daughter said that she experienced extreme morning sickness during her first trimester, saying, ‘I don’t know why they call it that since it lasts all day; we need to change the word.’

Hailey revealed that as her family grows, she is also attempting to make the most of the little time she and Justin have together.

The couple married in 2018 and will celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary in September.

‘It was really emotional for me at first [during pregnancy]. Like, ‘I adore this human. How can I possible include someone else in this? I’m trying to enjoy these days where it’s just Justin and me,’ she remarked.

She must also exercise caution while going online, as ‘the Internet is a terrible place for a pregnant lady’ due to all of the tales swirling around social media.

‘You witness so many tales – horrific birth stories, traumatic situations – and I know they are extremely true. But I don’t want to terrify myself,’ she explained.

Hailey revealed that she has grown apart from her Baldwin family, who have been embroiled in several scandals in recent years.

Her older sister, Alaia, 31, was jailed for assault in February after reportedly hurling a used tampon at a bartender while intoxicated.

Meanwhile, Alec’s manslaughter charges were unexpectedly withdrawn earlier this month in a case involving the Rust incident.

Alec accidently shot and murdered cinematographer Halyna Hutchins while filming his western Rust in 2021, using a gun as a prop.

Stephen has also undergone heavy scrutiny over the years, and in 2018, he categorically denied having an illicit romance with a masseuse.

‘I’m not really connected to my family at this point in my life because I believe I’m quite independent. I’m my own person now, and I’ve started my own family,” Hailey added.

‘But when I think back on my upbringing and how I grew up, I have extremely great, lovely memories,’ said Hailey, whose uncles Daniel and Billy are also performers.

‘I had a rather typical childhood. Obviously, I come from my family, and I’ve always known it was unusual.

Now that she is a celebrity, Hailey has received several slings and arrows from internet haters, particularly devoted supporters of Justin’s teenage girlfriend Selena Gomez.

While Hailey has sought to ‘compartmentalize’ the criticism she gets, she is unable to completely hide her sentiments about the situation.

‘People have made me feel awful about my relationship since the beginning.’Oh, they are coming apart. They loathe each other. They are getting divorced.’It’s like people don’t want to think we’re happy,’ Hailey explained.

I used to attempt to act as if it hurt less and less. I’ve tried to imagine that you become used to it at some time, that this is what will be said and how others will behave. But I understand it never stops hurting.’
