PC’s Mom Arguing She Dresses ‘Better’ Than Deepika Is The New Twitter Feud To Watch Out For.

Recently, an entertainment channel shared a tweet comparing Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Deepika Padukone’s outfits. While their fans weighed in on who pulled off the look better, someone was not impressed with the comparison. And so, Priyanka’s mother, Madhu Chopra, left quite an unexpected reaction. She made it very clear that the comparison was uncalled for as “Pri always carries Haute couture better.” No wonder all parents like to believe there’s no one like their kid, but was this public attack really required? Here’s the tweet:

Priyanka recently made it to the cover of an international magazine, wearing an exquisite Chanel black gown. She looks breathtaking, as always. A leading  entertainment portal,  juxtaposed pictures of Priyanka and Deepika in a similar-looking gown, stating that PeeCee’s outfit reminded them of Deepika’s Tom Ford look. Their tweet read, “@priyankachopra recently featured on the cover of an international magazine and her look instantly reminded us of @deepikapadukone.” One reaction that got everyone into a tizzy was from none other than PeeCee’s mom, Madhu Chopra’s, herself. She wrote, “Only a blind will think they are wearing same@outfit. Besides, Pri always carries Haute Couture better.”

Netizens have termed PeeCee’s mom’s reaction “embarrassing” 

Needless to say, the internet is now talking and Twitterati feel that her reaction is  “embarrassing.”  “Aunty is so embarrassing,” wrote one user. Mommy Chopra then went a step further and wrote, “Stating facts is not embarrassing.” Is stacking the two most successful women of our times against each other really necessary? Netizens don’t think so. “Why put one against the other? Be better,” wrote one user.

Her interference didn’t go down well with other users as well. “You want a medal for that take it maybe learn a thing or two about how to carry arrogance well bcz it looks like completely wanna be, (sic)” wrote a person. One user even said, “Both are class. Why should Moms interfere?”, while another wrote, “And most important.. your daughter is not 16 year any more!  this is not pageant… (sic)”

Priyanka and Deepika have shared screen for Bajirao Mastani and  have also appeared in Hollywood films, which has led to comparisons. While the two have always denied any sort of rivalry, in 2017, Madhu had told PTI, “Do you think actually there can be a comparison between the two. Priyanka has no comparison with anybody. She is unique and special in what she is and what she does.”
