Wembley Stadium has been urged to host a greater attendance for Anthony Joshua’s fight against Daniel Dubois next month.

Nigerian-born boxer Anthony Joshua is set to face Daniel Dubois at Wembley in September.

In a post on X, Turki Al-Sheikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, stated that there has been a request to boost capacity due to high demand for tickets.

Joshua, who is competing with Dubois for the vacant IBF heavyweight title at Wembley Stadium on September 21st, reposted it.

According to Turki Al-Sheikh, Nigerian-born boxer Anthony Joshua will set a record of over 100,000 at Wembley Stadium when he takes on Daniel Dubois.

“We hope to set a record for the largest attendance in boxing history at Wembley Stadium.”

Oleksandr Usyk’s revelation in June that he would be giving up the IBF heavyweight belt led to the confirmation of the fight for the following month.

After beating Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia in May, the Ukrainian emerged as the undisputed heavyweight champion in the world, but the IBF mandated that he face mandatory challenger Dubois, thus the belt was going to be taken away from him.

According to Turki Al-Sheikh, Nigerian-born boxer Anthony Joshua will set a record of over 100,000 at Wembley Stadium when he takes on Daniel Dubois.

It made it possible to arrange a meeting between Joshua and the British pair Dubois.

In June, Dubois overcame Filip Hrgovic by eighth-round stoppage to take the interim IBF title, while Joshua has won his past four bouts and most recently defeated Francis Ngannou.
