Brittany Allen, star of The Boys, is the latest actor to join the cast of the planned Dexter prequel.
According to Deadline, Allen will reprise his role as Dexter’s biological mother, Laura Moser, in Dexter: Original Sin. The ten-episode drama series will be set in Miami in 1991, 15 years before the events of the original show.
Patrick Gibson will play a young Dexter who is honing his murdering s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s. Dexter’s adoptive father, Harry (Christian Slater), is his main confidant as he fights to control his homicidal instincts.
Harry teaches his kid how to discover and 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁 those who deserve to die, as well as how to escape detection. However, as a forensics intern at the Miami Metro Police Department, Dexter will face difficulties concealing his deeds.
Joe Pantoliano, Carlo Mendez, Randy Gonzalez, Raquel Justice, Aaron Jennings, Jasper Lewis, Isaac Gonzalez Rossi, and Roberto Sanchez will all appear as recurring characters alongside Allen in season one.
The already outstanding cast includes previously confirmed performers Molly Brown, James Martinez, Christina Milian, Reno Wilson, Alex Shimizu, Patrick Dempsey, and Sarah Michelle Geller.
The Dexter franchise has already had a successor series, which was canceled after only one season.In Dexter: New Blood, Michael C. Hall reprised his major role as Dexter, who adopted a new identity alongside his son Harrison Morgan (Jack Alcott).
