After witnessing Anthony Joshua be knocked down by Daniel Dubois’s vicious right hand punch, Tyson Fury lost control of himself. Observing the fight from ringside at Wembley, Fury called Joshua a “silly****” after the fight ended in a loss that would have made him a three-time world champion.

Dubois floored the veteran fighter for the fourth and final time, but the night could not have gone much worse for Fury’s opponent, who was knocked out three times before the bout was stopped in the fifth round. Not only is the outcome a major setback for Joshua, but it also appears that Fury, another British fighter, will not be competing in their historic match for the undisputed title next year.

The former world champion, who is set to face Alexander Usyk in their Christmas rematch, was captured on camera suggesting that the fight between him and Anthony Joshua is effectively over because Joshua was unable to secure the victory. The video clip was uploaded on the internet.

In the video, Fury talks about his excellence Turki Alalshikh, who has been vocal about wanting to see Fury and Joshua fight together for a long time. It appeared that Turki Alalshikh would finally fulfill his desire when the two winners of Joshua vs. Dubois and Fury vs. Usyk agreed to arrange a doubleheader match in Saudi Arabia for London in 2025. Nevertheless, in order to win their individual matches, Joshua and Fury each had to perform, and sadly, Joshua failed to uphold his half of the agreement.

But, fans shouldn’t write out a fight between Fury and Joshua just yet because it might come back if Fury loses his rematch with Usyk.

Joshua’s defeat to Dubois means it is unlikely the highly anticipated Joshua vs Fury fight will happen.

Joshua’s camp have been clear that his defeat on Saturday night to Dubois does not mark the end of his time in the ring and Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn even hinted at the possibility of Joshua vs Fury.

‘I don’t see it being a fight that ends his [Joshua’s] career, But as I said, he’s in the final chapter or chapters of the career.’ Hearn said.

‘That was a big blow because we fancied winning tonight and fighting the winner of Fury against Usyk.

‘We may end up fighting the loser of that fight, maybe if it’s Tyson Fury.

‘You’ve got the Dubois rematch, you’ve got other fights out there.

‘I think it’s really about returning to the gym and having time off and seeing how you come back with [trainer] Ben [Davison]. A lot depends on how you are performing in the gym.’
