Isha Koppikar recently opened up about feeling hurt for not being offered Don 2. She also said that she could have done Priyanka Chopra’s role better than her.
Isha Koppikar has enjoyed a pretty decent career in Bollywood. After starting her career with South Indian films in the 90s, she went on to become one of the most popular leading ladies in Bollywood during the 2000s. Isha is best known for her roles in Don (2006), Rudraksh (2004), and D (2005) among others. The actress recently opened up about her experience working in Shah Rukh Khan’s Don. She also confessed that the makers did not approach her for the sequel of the film, Don 2, which was made later with Priyanka Chopra in the lead.
She went on to express that she could have probably played Priyanka’s character better than what PeeCee did. Isha Koppikar also expressed her disappointment with the makers for not asking her for the sequel.
Isha Koppikar says she could have done Priyanka Chopra’s role better
During a recent conversation with Galatta India, Isha recalled working on Don. She further compared her role to the one offered to Priyanka Chopra in the Don series. She revealed that although she was delighted to be a part of the film, she felt that Priyanka’s role of Roma Bhagat was more powerful than her role of Anita.
She said, “I feel Priyanka’s role was more powerful than mine. I would have given my left and right arm for it. I am a black belt in Taekwondo. I have been learning Taekwondo for 25 years now so I know I am fantastic at action and I can give any heroine a run for their money as far as action is concerned, even if they are half my age. I know I am good at it but what’s done is done.”

You win some, you lose some,” she said and added that later, she didn’t bother much as the sequel didn’t do as well as the first part.
