Alec Baldwin had a holiday season reunion with his eldest child, daughter Ireland Baldwin, in downtown Manhattan in New York City on Thursday.

The Oscar-nominated actor, 66, and 29-year-old writer were seen embracing, as she was accompanied by her partner, musician RAC, 39, and their one-year-old daughter, Holland.

The father and daughter reunion came four months after a summer vacation in which Ireland brought her daughter to meet her seven-half siblings Alec shares with wife Hilaria, 40.

In recent years, Alec and Ireland – who the actor shares with ex-wife Kim Basinger, 71 – have been on seemingly-solid footing.

She has become a first-time parent, while he has been balancing his family, career and legal fallout from the tragic shooting on the set of his film Rust in October of 2021.

Alec’s mercurial temper was on public display in April of 2007, when a voice mail he left for Ireland leaked publicly, as he called her ‘a rude, thoughtless little pig’ in a tirade over a missed phone call.

Alec subsequently issued a statement saying that he was ‘sorry for losing [his] temper with [his] child’ but that he had ‘been driven to the edge by parental alienation for many years now’ from Basinger.

Alec the following year delved deeper into the sensitive topic, in publishing a book titled A Promise to Ourselves: A Journey Through Fatherhood and Divorce.

On the chilly day in New York City on Thursday, the Glengarry Glen Ross actor was clad in a navy blue coat with gray slacks, black shoes and a maroon scarf.

Ireland – who describes herself in her Instagram bio for 642,000 followers as a ‘writer, sopranos enthusiast [and] dog hoarder’ – wore a textured brown fleece coat with a navy blue jumpsuit and brown top.

She had a red sweater tied around her waist and kept her auburn locks in a hair clip as she met with her father.

RAF was clad in a navy blue jacket with dark blue jeans and gray shoes as he held his daughter on the outing.

Alec and his wife Hilaria are parents to seven young children: daughters Carmen, 11, Maria, three, and Ilaria, two; and sons Rafael, nine, Leonardo, eight, Romeo, six, and Eduardo ‘Edu’ Pao Lucas, four.

Alec last year landed in hot water after calling his young children ‘seven reasons to carry on during some tough times,’ later abridging his statement to include Ireland.

In May, Alec opened up about his large family in an appearance on the Our Way with Paul Anka and Skip Bronson podcast.

‘I have eight children: I got my oldest daughter. She has a 𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢 and she and her boyfriend are living in Oregon,’ he said. ‘I met my wife and we got married and had seven kids in nine years. It’s crazy.’

The actor, who has made a number of recent cameos on Saturday Night Live, chat about his life and career in the podcast appearance.

‘I found that as I got older, work became less interesting to me,’ Alec said. ‘I’m interested, you know, I wanna work and I like to work.

‘But they just don’t make that many films anymore that I think are interesting. Plus, we’re all older. Whatever I’ve done in the past, I try not to be duplicative of that.’
