BREAKING NEWS: Robert De Niro SUES Elon Musk for 100 MILLION Dollars After Elon’s Remarks Got Him BANNED and REMOVED from All 2025 OSCARS Nominations!

Hollywood and the technology world have just been shaken by a blockbuster case when Robert de Niro, the legend of the screen, officially filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk, the billionaire behind Tesla and SpaceX, with the amount of compensation for up to $ 100 million. The case was submitted to the California Supreme Court in late February 2025, just a few days after the 97th Oscars took place without the presence of De Niro – for the first time in decades. The reason stemming from a controversial statement of Musk, is said to have led to the ban on attendance and the name of De Niro’s name from all the nominations of the Academy.

It started when Musk posted a tweet in mid -January, called De Niro “a fake moral man” and called on the Oscars “to eliminate those who only know how to preach”. This tweet came immediately after De Niro publicly criticized Musk in an interview, related to his influence in American politics. Shortly thereafter, the Academy suddenly announced that De Niro was banned from attending the awards ceremony and was not considered for any Oscars 2025 nomination, although he had just finished the main role in a highly rated film. De Niro’s legal team argued that Musk’s speech caused unnecessary pressure to the Academy, leading to a serious reputation and financial damage to the 81 -year -old actor.

The reaction from both sides is fierce. De Niro, in a brief statement, said: “I have devoted my whole life to art, and no one, including Musk, can deprive that.” Meanwhile, Musk responded on X with a challenging tone: “I sue me 100 million? Good luck, Bob – the court is not your movie. ” The online community immediately divided the side. De Niro’s fans call this “a battle for justice”, while the supporter Musk mocked: “Is this old man thinking that he is really Tony Soprano?”

This lawsuit is not only a personal confrontation but also highlights the conflict between traditional artists and new forces in technology. With De Niro claiming both material and spiritual damage, the trial promises to last and dramatic. The Academy declined to comment, but the pressure from the public could force them to review the decision. Will De Niro win against and regain honor, or will Musk continue to prove the unstoppable influence? When the court goes close, the whole world is waiting to see who will be the last laugh.

Drake Backs Down: Admits iHeartMedia Did Nothing Wrong in Settlement

Drake had accused iHeartMedia of accepting illegal payola payments from UMG to boost the radio airplay of Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” diss. One of the most unexpected developments in the Kendrick Lamar and Drake battle was that it evolved from a question of ‘Who won the battle?’ to ‘Who won the lawsuit?’ However, Drizzy has one less target on his list, as he settled a legal petition against iHeartMedia over the Kendrick diss track “Not Like Us.” Basically, he claimed back in November that Universal Music Group (UMG) made illegal payola payments to iHeart in order to artificially boost radio airplay for the West Coast banger. A court filing in Texas’ Bexar County confirmed this settlement, and an alleged iHeart source reportedly spoke to Rolling Stone on the matter. “In exchange for documents that showed iHeart did nothing wrong, Drake agreed to drop his petition. No payments were made – by either one of us,” the iHeartMedia source explained. The court documents did not specify this, however. “Petitioner and iHeartMedia, Inc. have reached an amicable resolution of the dispute to the satisfaction of both sides,” they read. “We are pleased that the parties were able to reach a settlement satisfactory to both sides and have no further comment on this matter,” the Toronto superstar’s team stated separately to iHeart’s comments. Why Is Drake Suing UMG? Despite this move, Drake is moving forward in his UMG lawsuit, specifically alleging that the label and distributor – which he and Kendrick are both under – engaged in defamatory practices. While K.Dot is not a defendant in this suit, the core of the argument specifically portrays his accusations of pedophilia against the OVO mogul as defamatory. The January filing accuses UMG of artificially boosting the track’s commercial performance and engaging in defamatory campaigns on social media through its promotion. Furthermore, UMG faces a March 16 deadline if they want to file a motion to dismiss. They already denied any and all of Drake’s claims. Through his since-settled iHeartMedia petition, he sought to orally depose iHeart corporate employees, and filed the petition to secure more factual information to determine whether to move forward with more accusations in addition to defamation. Aubrey Graham’s team is also calling UMG out for attempting to delay the case despite their ample time to prepare.
