Justice for Kim Sae-ron: Family Takes a Stand Against YouTuber’s Defamatory Claims!

The late Kim Sae-ron’s bereaved family is suing a YouTuber, referred to as YouTuber A, a former reporter, for defamation.

According to Hankyung Dotcom, Kim Sae-ron’s legal representative will file a complaint with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency against YouTuber A on charges of defamation against the deceased on the afternoon of the 17th.

In an interview with the media, the legal representative of Kim Sae-ron’s bereaved family stated, “‘It is true that Kim Sae-ron and Kim Soo-hyun dated each other.'” The issue at hand is whether Kim Sae-ron had been dating since 2015 when he was a minor, which YouTuber A described as ‘self-actualization.’ This is a clear falsehood.

YouTuber A reportedly produced four videos about Kim Sae-ron but made them private after learning of the deceased’s death.

During the funeral, the bereaved family expressed that Kim Sae-ron had suffered as a result of YouTuber A’s videos and articles.

Recently, Kim Sae ron’s mother released a statement on the YouTube channel ‘Horoseo Research Center,’ saying, “Our purpose is to restore the honor of a child who was destroyed in an instant through numerous false articles.”

She also stated, “I wanted to lay the groundwork for condemning the criminal acts of malicious YouTubers and cyber harassment by law.”

Meanwhile, YouTuber A denied the allegations, claiming that he did not collude with actor Kim Soo-hyun to bully Kim Sae-ron through his YouTube channel on the 13th, referring to the allegations as “founded.”
