Cardi B vs Nicki Minaj Heats Up Again — Clapback or Career Meltdown?

Cardi B is ready to be pretty and petty.

After Nicki Minaj insinuated the “Bodak Yellow” rapper inflated sales on her new album Am I the Drama? to earn the Sept. 29 double platinum certification, Cardi proved who the drama really is.

“Why you keep bringing up my album??,” Cardi wrote on X Sept. 29. “It’s not the gag that you think it is..You been in the game like 16 years.. you need to compare yourself to YOUR peers that started around YOUR time.”

The “I Like It” rapper—who dropped her sophomore album earlier this month—pointed to other artists, such as Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Drake, all of whom released albums in the late aughts.

“Those are the numbers you need to be competing wit and you can’t cuz you doing lower than all of them,” she continued. “I was in high school when you came out wtf is you comparing yourself to me for???”

Cardi—who is expecting her fourth baby with boyfriend Stefon Diggs and shares kids Kulture, 8, Wave, 3, and Blossom, 12 months, with ex Offset—slammed the “Super Bass” rapper for further insinuating that she had contracted Human Papillomavirus (HPV).

“Alright now this the third tweet talkin about my pregnancy,” the 32-year-old added. “Lord protect my babies.”

In addition to shading Cardi by noting, in a since-deleted tweet, that Am I the Drama? ‘s $4.99 price tag, she called the artist “Barney Dangerous,” and went on to mock her track “Magnet.”

“Abcdefgeeeee / Fallin off the charts wit a big bellyyy,” Nicki wrote. “RUNNING TRAINS / barefoot, still smellyyyy / Still. you. Could. Not. outsell. meeeee.”

The 42-year-old also made some blows at her looks, accusing Cardi of getting cosmetic surgery to “look like me.”

Meanwhile, Cardi couldn’t help but point out Nicki using her third track on her album multiple times, teasing, “Damn she was streaming Magnet hard as hell huh??”

She also decided to take some low blows by pointing to the “Starships” musician’s brother Jelani Maraj’s sexual assault conviction, writing, “Your bro be touching 12 year olds.” (The 46-year-old was handed a 25-year prison sentence in 2020 after being found guilty of raping his 11-year-old stepdaughter.)

Cardi admitted that Nicki’s series of social media posts took her by surprise. She wrote, “naaaa cuz I was really baking ribs and making blondie brownies and here come this b—h bothering me on a damn monday.”

“You must’ve missed me, huh crazy?? Now kiss my feet,” Cardi added. “Nothing more annoying than a bored b—h.”
