Ryan Reynolds Called Out Blake Lively for Ditching Him on Super Bowl Sunday—And She Had a Cheeky Response

Taylor Swift squad duties > wife duties.

As Destiny’s Child once sang, “Ladies, leave your man at home.” And that includes Ryan Reynolds.

For Super Bowl 58, Taylor Swift brought along a gaggle of gal pals to join her in the Kelce suite, including Ashley Avignone, Lana Del Rey, Ice Spice, and Blake Lively. And yes, Lively’s husband noticed that she had gone to the game without him.

“Has everyone seen the #Deadpool trailer? Also has anyone seen my wife?” Reynolds wrote on Instagram, sharing a shot of himself next to a TV playing the aforementioned threequel trailer.

So, really, they both got to attend the big game. It’s just that Reynolds attended via his mercenary avatar.

But since this is the Lively-Reynolds fam, you know that he wasn’t going to get the last laugh. Once Lively came back from the Super Bowl suite, she took a photo in front of the same television, playing the same part of the trailer.

“Honey I’m home,” she wrote. “My day was good. Yours?”

Of course Marvel used a pricey Super Bowl ad slot to tease the upcoming movie, which features the team-up of Deadpool (Reynolds) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman).

It’s a meta comedy about the MCU itself, and even in the trailer Wade Wilson (Reynolds) is looking straight into the camera to joke about pegging in a Disney movie. You get it!

Clearly, this franchise is a labor of love for Reynolds, who had to leak his own test footage (allegedly) to get Fox to make the first movie.

When filming on Deadpool & Wolverine wrapped, he posted to Instagram, alongside a picture of his crotch, “The suit hides blood. Also sweat… But today, with Deadpool wrapping, it’s mostly tears. A giant and forever thanks to the cast and crew of our film who battled wind, rain, strikes and @thehughjackman… all under the stalwart leadership of @slevydirect. I got to make a movie with my closest pals and that doesn’t happen very often.”

Ryan Reynolds, Lively, Jackman and director Shawn Levy attended an earlier Chiefs game with Swift, who herself once dressed as the character for Halloween.

As for Lively, she does not seem to care about Deadpool at all, and frankly, we love that for her.
