Usher has announced he is set to perform in the UK with a series of shows in London after confirming European dates for his 2025 global tour.

The R&B singer, 45, will take to the stage at London’s 02 Arena on the 1st, 2nd and 5th of April next year for his Past Present Future tour.

Pop star Usher gave fans little notice, announcing tickets were to go on presale on Tuesday just a few hours beforehand.

The entertainer – who had given his devotees a taste of what they would see at his concerts having performed in the Super Bowl halftime show earlier this month – left people scrambling for tickets, in spite of some of them costing up to £1,426.

Many people took to social media to share some hilarious reactions to the news.

One person wrote on Twitter: ‘Usher, tickets out today???????? My landlord will have to understand I’m afraid.’

While someone else shared: ‘Everyone that owes me money should transfer it back to me now because Usher has woken me up this morning and told me to spend £££.’

Another person asked: ‘Where are you people seeing this money. I mean we were just speaking about Usher’s tickets being sold out for his 2025 show only for me to see the price is over £1k.’

While another person laughed: ‘Usher’s tickets for next year in London are out! The ones I want who will fund my lifestyle.’

One other person joked: ‘If I give y’all my kidney for an Usher ticket, y’all would hold on to it til after the concert so I can come back and get it?’

While another person asked: ‘My friend has not repaired his broken boiler but he’s got usher tickets?’

And someone else joked: ‘Usher said oh there’s a recession over in the U.K.? Let’s see how bad you wanna see me.’

The dates will kick off a European leg of Usher’s show as he will then perform in Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin.

The hitmaker was most recently in Europe last year when he performed eight shows in the French capital.

He has also been busy with his Las Vegas residency, performing in 100 sold out shows at the Park MGM.

Announcing his European shows, the star said: ‘Europe, are you ready? After the epic experience at the Super Bowl and the huge demand for shows across North America, I’m happy to announce I’ll coming your way as well – for shows in London, Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin.

‘This tour is both a celebration of the past 30 years and a glimpse into the future. We are just getting started.’

His latest album Coming Home was released on Feb 9th and his was announced just before the Super Bowl – initially 20 shows, now at nearly 60 sold out dates due to fan demand.

It comes after the news that Usher and long-term girlfriend Jennifer Goicoechea obtained a marriage license in Las Vegas on February 8.

A source told DailyMail.com that the OMG singer made the decision to wed after taking advice from his spiritual advisor Amba Kahly Su.

The wedding, which will follow what is sure to be a smashing performance, will be an intimate affair attended only by close friends and family.

The marriage will be the star’s second: his previous wife is fashion designer Tameka Foster, 53, with whom he shares teenage sons Usher ‘Cinco’ Raymond V, 16, and Navid Ely, 15.

Usher also has two children with Goicoechea, 39 – daughter Sovereign Bo, three, and son Sire Castrello, two.

The soon-to-be married couple have been together since October 2018 when she was photographed attending his birthday party.

A year later, Usher was photographed kissing the Miami-born music executive backstage at the October 2019 Hollywood Bowl.

The couple have also made repeated red carpet appearances together – including Vanity Fair’s 2023 Oscar party – and regularly appear on each other’s Instagram pages.

In a gushing post to mark Goicoechea’s 39th birthday in October last year, the singer paid tribute to the mom-of-two, writing: ‘I couldn’t ask for a better partna. Happy birthday, my love.’
