Jennifer Lopez delivered a sizzling opening performance at the American Music Awards on Sunday evening.
The 46-year-old pulled double duty as, for the first time ever, she performed and hosted the American Music Awards at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
The Booty singer pulled out all the stops in a skin-tight bodysuit as she performed a medley of the year’s biggest hits.

The singer began the show with a slowed-down version of her 1999 song Waiting For Tonight, before announcing: ‘Tonight isn’t about me, it’s about the music. And this year the music made me want to dance.’
She then launched into a spectacular medley of the year’s biggest hits.
The crowd went wild with the exception ofย Nicki Minaj, who looked distinctly unimpressed when the camera panned to her while J.Lo was dancing to Anaconda.

Nicki, who wore a plunging pink dress with a gold sequined floral design at the shoulders and cuffs, was seen watching J.Lo’s performance before looking away with a smirk.
The rapper later won favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album for The Pinkprint.
Nicki was joined by her rapper boyfriend Meek Mill, who went for a matching golf cuff on his black suit.

While hosting is something new for JLo, she is a veteran when it comes to the AMAs, having been first nominated for an award 15 years ago.
JLo first performed at the awards show nearly 25 years ago.
The singer writhed onstage with her dancers as she performed to songs including Anaconda, B**** better Have My Money, Bad Blood and I Can’t Feel ย My Face.
The 46-year-old wore a tan bodysuit with patterned design, and furry heels as she strutted her stuff onstage.

She pulled her hair up in a top bun and wore shimmering sliver heels as she spoke about watching the AMAs as a child.

The singer then changed into a gold mesh dress that showed off her enviable figure, which she wore over a beige bandeau top and fitted briefs for outfit number three.

She swapped her classy bun for a sleek look, wearing her hair over her shoulders, and wore silver strappy heels and gold drop earrings.

Jennifer first performed at the AMAs when she was selected to be a backup dancer for New Kids On The Block as they performed Games at the 18th annual AMAs in 1991.
Since then, she has taken to the AMA stage multiple times, performing Love Don’t Cost A Thing in 2001, Louboutins in 2009 as well as a medley of her hits in 2011 and 2013.
And of course, she performed a duet of Booty with Iggy Azalea last year.

Jennifer then changed into a sheer lace outfit as she presented the award for Best New Artist to country singer Sam Hunt.
The gown consisted of a flowing, see-through black wrap with a black star pattern.
The singer flashed her beige bra and cinched in her waist with a matching white star belt.
And after she momentarily forgot to read out the nominees, J.Lo laughed as she joked she was trying to balance all her jobs for the evening.

In addition to her glamorous on-stage looks, Jennifer posed in a white gown and towel on her head as she waited backstage with Demi Lovato.
The superstar dressed down for a minute in the white bathroom with gold cuffs as she put an arm around Demi and held onto her microphone.

And the host stayed clear of the water as she bid the audience farewell in a revealing light blue dress with a cross-crossing bodice that also cinched in at her waist.

Chris Martin and his band Coldplay performed the first single Adventure Of A Lifetime off their new album A Head Full Of Dreams, set for release on December 4.
And Justin Bieber was the final performance, dancing and singing to a medley of his hits as he was showered with ‘rain’ on stage.
