Kim Kardashian is the latest celebrity to poke fun at Kate Middleton – and it has not gone down well with fans.

The 43-year-old reality star has made reference to the increasing speculation over the whereabouts of the Princess of Wales in her latest Instagram post. Uploading a collection of photos of herself showing off her new blonde hair to her 364million followers on Saturday night, Kim wrote in the caption: “On my way to go find Kate”.

Kate has taken a step back from royal duties since January when she underwent planned abdominal surgery and since retreating from public life her health has become the subject of increasing online speculation. Earlier this week, the Princess found herself at the center of a Photoshop scandal after news agencies pulled her Mother’s Day family snap, saying it had been “manipulated” – a fiasco which subsequently sent the Where’s Kate debate wild with a tsunami of outlandish theories.

Kim’s post has not gone down well with fans, who have slammed her for “spreading rumors”. In a comment which garnered over 3,000 likes, one wrote: “Nothing like a celebrity who allegedly hates rumors, spreading rumors.” While another added: “To mock a woman who has a medical problem is so low.”

A third person noted the hypocrisy of the post, commenting: “It’s not like people from your family have gone into hiding (rightfully so) during pregnancy or other medical reasons… this caption isn’t it.”
