“He’s the phony GOAT!” Skip Bayless, with a straight face, calls Aaron Rodgers the LeBron James of NFL

Aaron Rodgers is the PHONY GOAT like LeBron James, says Skip Bayless

Without a doubt, Aaron Rodgers will go down as one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history. Few even argue that he is the GOAT (the Greatest Of All Time). However, Skip Bayless would be the first person to disagree.

Rodgers spent 18 seasons in Wisconsin playing for the Green Bay Packers before making a blockbuster move to the New York Jets at the start of last season. Yet the New York media’s Super Bowl aspirations went up in smoke after Rodgers tore his Achilles on opening day. Since then, he has been on the path to recovery.

The 40-year-old had hoped that he would make the swiftest of comebacks and play in the playoffs if the Jets managed to reach them, which didn’t happen. This was the second straight year he had failed to be part of post-season football after the Detroit Lions stopped the Packers in their tracks.

Despite earning several accolades throughout his NFL career, including four-time NFL MVP, four-time All-Pro, and 10 Pro Bowls, Rodgers has only ever managed to win one Super Bowl ring, and that was back in 2011.

In his recent segment of The Skip Bayless Show, the veteran sports commentator was asked whom he considered the “LeBron of the NFL.” Several mentioned Russell Wilson deserves that title. The reason the viewers chose the Lakers legend is because Bayless borderline hates him.

He believes that Wilson isn’t the “PHONY GOAT,” but rather Aaron Rodgers is. According to Bayless, the Jets’ QB’s actions over time have proven that he is more talk than action, similar to LeBron James. Being in New York, Rodgers stands in the middle of the media capital, and slowly he has become “Master Manipulator.”

Skip Bayless also undermined Aaron Rodgers’ Super Bowl win

The GOAT debate will always rage on. Before Tom Brady appeared and bagged seven rings, football fans counted Joe Montana as the best ever. In the present, Patrick Mahomes is inching closer to both Brady and Montana.

All of them are great players and will remain immortal, no matter which generation it is. Rodgers undeniably falls into the conversation because he has won a Super Bowl. But Skip Bayless even threw a massive question mark on that win as well. From his point of view, Rodgers took advantage of a weakened opponent.
