The Duke and Duchess of SusđâŻđ are thought to be planning to relaunching their SusđâŻđ brand in the UK, four years after they stepped back from the royal family and moved to the US
Harry and Meghan ‘snubbed’ by UK PRs as experts unwilling to work with them for SusđâŻđ UK rebrand
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could struggle to relaunch their SusđâŻđ brand in the UK, as PRs are “unwilling” to work with them, according to an industry expert.
The couple, who stepped back from royal duties in 2020, are thought to be planning a relaunch in the UK, as they attempt to repair their rift with the Royal Family. However returning to the UK four years after their exit doesn’t come without problems including winning favour with the public, as the couple’s popularity has also recently plummeted according to a new poll which sees just 11% of those asked name Prince Harry as the royal they liked the most, with the Duchess of SusđâŻđ only gathering 7% of the votes.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, PR and crisis specialist Carla Speight revealed: “There have been many PR experts out there claiming that no one would willingly take on their brand.”

Whilst Meghan and Harry might be eyeing up a rebrand for themselves, Speight advised that instead they should highlight their humanitarian work as she added: “All is not lost for the couple, despite a rough few years, they still have many supporters out there and the public is growing tired of the constant bashing they are getting. They donât need a rebrand, they need to refocus the attention on what good they do. Now that Kate and William are at the heart of the wrath of the global press and public, the timing for Harry and Meghan to focus attention on the positives in their work lives and what makes them well received amongst supporters couldnât be any more pressing.”
She continued: “Thereâs simply no way anyone can critique the positive work they do, despite it being largely overlooked in recent years, in favour of all the Hollywood drama. The reaction to his documentary on Invictus should have shown their previous PR that this approach is viable, though they seemingly missed that.”
The Duke and Duchess are reported to be keen to try and repair the rift between themselves and the royal family, including King Charles and Prince William and Princess Kate. Repairing their image in the UK could open more chances to spend time as a family as Speight suggested: “Once theyâve succeeded in reminding people of the humanitarians and deep love that is at the heart of their relationship, they will have the opportunity to spend more time with Charles during his cancer battle.”

The couple have also struggled with building their brand in the past as Speight added: “The problem Harry faced was that his PR was managed by Americans, who simply donât understand the British culture or the British press. He went from being told what to say and what not to say, to having the freedom to say whatever he wanted. Made worse with the Americanism of âspeak your truthâ, which seemingly came with little guidance or advice. Harry and Meghanâs advisors didnât seem to care about anything other than the money they could earn from the interviews, the documentary and the book.

“We have to remember why Harry left ‘the Firm’, it wasnât actually his choice, he was told to leave. All he really wanted was to protect his family from what he described as history repeating itself. In reality, it was probably PTSD with the press interest in his wife picking up pace. “
