in style for her appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday.
The Queen of R&B – who recently performed at the 2023 Grammy Awards – strutted the New York City streets in a blue pinstripe jumpsuit before serving as a guest on the talk show.
Her jumpsuit featured long sleeves and wide pant legs to shield her from the windy city weather.
She also threw on a fluffy brown fur coat over her shoulders and held it tightly to her chest while she was outside.
The nine-time Grammy winner wore her platinum blonde locks down in curls around her shoulders.
The Queen: Mary J. Blige arrived in style for her appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert
For makeup, she went with a dark blue smokey-eye, thick eyeliner, highlighted cheekbones, and lightly glossed lips.
The Family Affair hitmaker accessorized with several pieces of eye-catching bling hanging from her ears, dangling around her neck and on her fingers.
Blige hit the sidewalk in towering black high heels and waved at the cameras as she entered the building.
The beauty is set to speak on the show about her freshly released children’s book titled Mary Can!
She announced the release of the book under HarperCollins publishers back in November 2022 on her Instagram.
Blige revealed the cover art for the book and shared that the illustrations were done by award-winning artist Ashleigh Corrin.
The star wrote in her caption: ‘Mary Can! is an inspirational and motivating story about a young girl who proves that anyone can make their dreams come true if they just believe in themselves.
‘It’s such a personal story for me, based off my own experiences as a child and even as an adult. I was so used to people telling me “no” and that I “couldn’t” which only motivated me more,’ she shared.

Blige went on to share that she ‘can receive all the gifts’ of success now that she has gotten ‘my head together and my life together.’
