Not only was it her birthday, but she had also earlier in the day received her star on the iconic Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
So Mary, who turned 47, beamed when she was photographed on the blue carpet, sizzling in an off-the-shoulder dress that showed off her cleavage.
She was, in fact, nominated that evening for Best Supporting Actress, by way of her performance in the critically acclaimed period drama Mudbound.

Allison Janney ended up winning the gong for playing Tony Harding’s mother LaVona in the new film I, Tonya, a biopic of the scandal-ridden ex-figure skater.
Mary and Allison’s category that night had included Laurie Metcalf for Lady Bird, Octavia Spencer for The Shape Of Water, Tiffany Haddish for Girls Trip, Holly Hunter for The Big Sick and Hong Chau for Downsizing.
During Allison’s acceptance speech, she jokingly offered to hand her trophy off to Mary as a birthday gift.

Blige’s gleaming outfit featured a brown and orange spotted pattern over a green background, and its hem fell far enough to drag a bit behind her.
Mary’s pristine blonde hairdo fell free over her shoulders at the event, which was held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.
