“YEAH!” You have a chance to see Usher in Chattanooga later this month! He WON’T be performing, but you can attend the free event.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The City of Chattanooga has a reason to say ‘Yeah!’ That’s because Usher will be coming to town later this month.

The event at McKenzie Arena, set for April 20th, will feature local performers and dancers paying tribute to Usher’s life and career. But Usher himself will not be performing.

It’s free and open to the public, but you have to get a ticket ahead of time, and there are only 3,500 seats available, with only 2 available per person.

You can get a ticket starting this Friday at 10 a.m. here. They will be first-come, first served.

The event is billed as “Coming Home: A Celebration of USHER,” and while he is there, he’ll receive a key to the city.

“The city of Chattanooga provided a spark that ignited the fire in me to pursue my dreams as a singer and I’m thankful for the support I received from so many great family members, friends, and mentors so early in my journey. Thank you for the honor, I look forward to celebrating with you all,” Usher said.

Usher was born in Chattanooga and attended Dalewood Middle School while he was growing up.

He has continued to be a part of Chattanooga even after moving to Atlanta.

Back in 2021, he partnered with Little Kids Rock to bring more music education to Hamilton County Schools.
