Coach Prime previously told the media that there are some team’s he would’ve liked Shedeur Sanders to join. One of those teams is his former team, the Atlanta Falcons, with whom he played for five seasons. But after the Falcons’ recent acquisition of QB Kirk Cousins, he gave an interesting reply on YouTube’s USA TODAY Sports when his host said the team would regret signing the 35-year-old QB. Deion Sanders said, “Why would they regret signing Kirk Cousins? Because of the possibility of acquiring Shedeur Sander? I don’t know. Is that what you’re saying?”

The Falcons signed Kirk Cousins on a $180 million four-year deal on March 11, 2024 where he received $100 million in guarantees. But while this means that the Falcons already found a star QB, Coach Prime doesn’t mind that Shedeur Sanders would have to cross off Atlanta as a potential landing place. The former 2x SB champion said of Cousins, “I like Kirk Cousins. Kirk wins man. He gets the job done. They may not like him because they counting his bag but man, I like him. I really do.” And it’s easy to see why Deion Sanders holds him in high regard.
