Priyanka Chopra admitted her excitement at the public’s reaction to her latest project Citadel at the show’s London premier on Tuesday evening.
The 40-year-old actress starred alongside Game of Thrones’ Richard Madden, 36, and Stanley Tucci, 62, in Prime Video’s new espionage series that aims to thrill audiences with its action-packed scenes and surprising plot twists.
Walking the carpet at the series’ UK launch, the Indian star stunned in a red satin gown that featured a mermaid hem and plunging neckline.
She matched her dress with a deep red lipstick and wore her shoulder-length hair in soft, glamourous waves.
The mum-of-one stopped to chat with Metro.co.uk and cracked a picture-perfect smile when asked what she thought of the public’s reaction to her new venture.
On learning that people had been labelling her character Nadia Sinh and co-star Richard’s Mason Kane the hottest spies in the world online, she let out an amused laugh.

‘Aw I think that’s awesome! The show means so much to us, we’ve put so much work into the show.
‘It’s five years in the making, it was almost one and a half years filming it, so you know, it feels really, really great to be able to get positive reactions to the work.’
Ahead of taking her seat to watch an episode inside the premiere theatre, the star revealed she was thrilled a select few would get to experience the show’s explosiveness on the big screen.
She explained: ‘I’m really excited for everyone to see it on the big screen because this show is intended to be in your living room but being able to see it on the big screen is very exciting.’

Elsewhere on the star-studded red carpet that saw the likes of Priyanka’s husband Nick Jonas and Richard Madden strut their stuff, executive producers the Russo Brothers shared some insight into Citadel’s next move.
Joe and Anthony shared that they were taking their concept – that also has Italian and Indian spin-offs – to Rome with none other than actor Stanley as their premiere plus one.
When questioned over whether the famous foodie would be joining them on their Italian adventures, the producing pair mischievously replied: ‘Maybe. We’ll see.
‘Stanley’s going to bring us! We’re off to Rome next on the press tour and Stanley’s going with us.
‘The thing I’m most excited about is where we’re going to dinner with Stanley on Friday night.’
