Caitlin Clark’s fourth game in the WNBA was her most entertaining yet.
The Indiana Fever rookie had an injury scare, hit one of her signature, logo 3s and earned the first technical foul of her professional career after yelling a choice expletive at referees in an 88-84 loss to the Connecticut Sun on Monday night.

Clark was called for the technical as she appeared to yell “It’s a f-king foul,” in the fourth quarter after turning the ball over and committing a transition take foul.
“That is an unbelievably costly sequence from Caitlin Clark,” ESPN play-by-play man Ryan Rucco said via the New York Post with the Fever up 76-75 with 3:37 left in the game. “Turns it over then gives a transition take foul and then a technical as well.”
Clark left the game midway through the second quarter after rolling her left ankle. She returned to start the second half and finished the night with 17 points. She went 3-of-7 from behind the arc, including her fourth quarter, logo 3 that gave the Fever a 70-68 lead.
USA Today columnist Christine Brennan had this to say about Clark’s performance via X:
“It took Caitlin Clark less than a week to be everything we thought she could be as a pro. Nothing but drama in that close loss: the twisted ankle, the fourth-quarter assists and spectacular logo 3, the fire and emotion that led to that technical foul. As always, must-see TV.”
