The Queen of Pop left some fans up in arms when she revealed her daughter’s grooming choice
Madonna has thrown her eldest daughter, Lourdes Leon, back into the spotlight by posing for a photo which showed her offspring sporting armpit hair.
The 59-year-old pop star uploaded a photo of herself with 21-year-old Lourdes to Instagram on New Year’s Eve.
“We are Ready For You 2018!” Madonna typed on Instagram as she shared the image alongside a number of emojis.
While her daughter (who has a striking resemblance to the Like A Virgin singer) showed a winning smile, many followers couldn’t help but notice the thick hair under her arms.

Some followers lashed out to criticise the youngster, with one typing snottily: “what an awful armpit”.
Others defended Lourdes’s beauty choice, however, with one writing: “I do think it’s nice, but even if I didn’t I wouldn’t tell someone to change their appearance because of my preferences.”

The Queen of reinvention showed she could change up her own look by refusing to groom.
“Long hair…… Don’t Care!!!!!! #artforfreedom #rebelheart#revolutionoflove,” she wrote at the time when she shared her unshaved selfie on Instagram.
The stunt caused a stir with fans – however some absolutely loved it, with one writing in the comments section: “beautiful long hair”.
