Saturday’s WNBA game between the Chicago Sky and the Connecticut Sun got wild.
In the third quarter, Sun forward Alyssa Thomas was ejected for choke slamming Angel Reese while the two were jockeying for a rebound.
After a regular foul was initially called, the referees upgraded it to a Flagrant 2 foul, after deeming that Thomas used unnecessary force with Reese.
One quarter later, Reese was accused of striking Sun player DeWanna Bonner (who is Alyssa Thomas’ fiancée) in the face.
The play occurred midway through the fourth quarter. After the Sky made a basket, Bonner fell to the floor while grabbing her face.

Reese was seen closest to Bonner. The referees stopped the game to review the play. And after a delay of a few minutes, they deemed that there wasn’t enough evidence that Reese actually fouled Bonner
Therefore, play continued without Reese picking up a foul.
In other words, Reese managed to keep her cool after she was essentially attacked by Thomas one quarter prior.
Although the Sun got the last laugh, as they beat the Sky by a score of 86-82.
